Copper valued at $1,900 was taken from a construction site of a Chili’s restaurant in Riverdale, New Jersey, according to the Herald News. A few days earlier, $35,000 worth of copper was stolen from a gated retirement community in Pequannock. The two incidents are part of a string of copper thefts that have occurred recently in the area, authorities said.
