Quest Solutions, Blue Book merge products

Quest Solutions and The Blue Book of Building and Construction have formed a partnership that allows users of The Blue Book’s BB-Bid system to have access to a customized version of Quest Takeoff 2.0, which can be accessed directly from within BB-Bid.

Quest Takeoff 2.0 works from digital plan files instead of traditional paper blueprints. Contractors load plans into Takeoff and immediately begin measuring quantities. The customized version includes all the features of the standard version, but works exclusively with plan files downloaded via BB-Bid, a free online bid management system.

With digital plan files, Quest says contractors don’t have to bear the cost of blueprints, and estimators don’t have to work with awkward and bulky paper plans.

“The integration between Quest’s digital takeoff product and BB-Bid’s plan room users continues to solidify the relationship between Quest and The Blue Book, providing contractors with the highest quality products and services,” said Michael Gillum, Quest’s director of research and development. “The overall goal was to create a seamless online experience for BB-Bid users, to give them the ability to perform detailed digital takeoffs.”
