For site leveling, excavation, grading, foundations, forms and masonry work, DeWalt’s new self-leveling exterior rotary laser, the DW076KE, is a fully automatic system that’s accurate to +/-1/8 inch at 100 feet. Flashing LEDs tell you when the laser is leveling itself, and once the flashing stops the unit is level. Users can also grade applications on a consistent plane by pressing a manual override button for three seconds to override the self-leveling feature. The single-speed, 600-rpm laser maximizes detector readability. A rotary head sunshade guards the unit from falling objects and minimizes blind spots. DeWalt batteries from 9.6 volts to 18 volts can power the unit.
