Separate powerpack/reservoir key to boom’s output

A separate powerpack/reservoir that is flown to the mounting point independently of the boom allows a 13,200-pound picking weight for the 114-foot Schwing America truck mounted KVM 39X concrete pump with Generation 2 detachable boom. The boom can be mounted as a tubular mast with floor frames, wall truss, lattice tower, ballasted cross frame or foundation frame. On high-rise work with a self-climbing form system, the tubular mast can be attached to the forming system or a zero-elevation frame can be clamped to the working deck of the forms. Only four pins and eight quick disconnect hydraulic hoses are required to fly Generation 2 booms. The KVM 39X is one of the longest booms available on a three-axle truck.
