Emergency stop bar shuts down chipper with just a touch

Vermeer‘s BC600XL disc-style brush chipper uses a 27-horsepower gasoline engine and a 24-inch cutting disc to process material up to 6 inches in diameter at speeds up to 230 feet per minute. The unit offers a 64-inch-wide feed table and a feed system that monitors rpm to lessen stress on the engine and reduce material jams. A bottom feed stop bar system allows the operator to strike the bar with his legs to shut down the chipper in an emergency. The discharge chute rotates 240 degrees and reaches 94 inches high.
