Bobcat expands attachment manufacturing capacity

In moves the company says will help satisfy growing market demand for attachments, Bobcat has opened an additional factory in Georgia and enlarged a production, research and development facility in Minnesota.

Bobcat announced in February the acquisition of a former Ingersoll-Rand plant in Carrollton, Ga., used for small to mid-sized paver production. In May, the company formalized plans to expand a Litchfield, Minn., attachments factory and bring in light production and research and development operations currently housed in Grove City, Minn. Both facilities are expected to be fully operational during the fourth quarter.

The Carrollton factory will specialize in the production of general and multipurpose attachments. The Litchfield expansion will create an additional 30,000 square feet of attachment manufacturing space and an additional 10,000 square feet for research and development.
