Diff locks and creature comforts give loader the edge

The new AR 65 Super wheel loader from Atlas Construction Machines is powered by a 68-horsepower engine pushing a 1.3-cubic-yard bucket and has an 8,635-pound tipping load. The hydrostatic drive uses an automotive-type control with all-wheel drive and 100 percent differential lock to put traction and power on the ground. The Z-bar boom design maximizes breakout force. A hydraulically activated attachment quick change system comes standard. The operator environment includes creature comforts such as a walk-through cab, tinted convex windows, suspension seat, tilt steering, adjustable-position, pilot-controlled joystick, heater and optional air conditioning.
