Mack Trucks opened a parts distribution center in Memphis, Tenn., this month. The facility is Mack’s seventh parts distribution facility in the United States and Canada. The company invested $550,000 in the new, 98,000-square-foot center, which it expects to fill 250,000 parts orders annually. The facility will allow dealers in the Memphis area to use ground overnight shipments instead of air freight, said Rikard Jonsson, senior vice president, parts sales and marketing for Mack. The company’s other parts distribution centers are located in Reno, Nev., Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Baltimore and Toronto.
