Vibratory rubber-tired roller overcomes bridging problem

Designed for several of today’s tender asphalt mixes, Sakai America’s new GW750 vibratory rubber-tired roller develops a gyratory action that combines the kneading action of a pneumatic roller with the higher compaction forces of vibratory roller. The roller overcomes the bridging problem found on overlays of profiled pavements, where the new mix does not seat properly in the grooves. The GW750 “massages” the mix into these grooves for an improved interlock of the new mix with the profiled surface.
