TH580B telehandler features four-section boom for extended reach and lift height

Caterpillar’s TH580H telehandler, the largest in the new B-Series line, features a four-section boom that lets the machine lift loads as high as 56 feet and reach forward 42 feet. The machine is designed to work in a variety of general construction, heavy construction and industrial applications.

The telehandler has an operating weight of 27,465 pounds and a rated load capacity of 11,000 pounds. High capacity and extended lift height and reach combine with maneuverability for high performance in demanding applications. The machine features three steering modes – two wheel, crab and circle steer – for agile maneuvering in tight spaces.

Newly designed stabilizers offer +/- 5 degrees of leveling and minimize the bulldozing effect some stabilizers can have. A frame leveling system gives +/- 10 degrees of leveling capability. The unit’s Cat 3054 engine cranks out 120 gross horsepower. A new cooling system enhances performance in challenging applications. The cooling fan is driven directly from the engine through the transmission and so does not require an additional hydraulic pump or related lines. Clean air is pulled from outside the machine through the forward-facing, fully screened cooling pack.
