Two-ton excavator digs deep

Kubota’s new 2-ton KX71-3 compact excavator runs on a four-cylinder, 27.5-horsepower engine and offers a 9-foot-9-inch digging depth. The arm and bucket generate 3,274 and 6,349 pounds of breakout force. The tail swings out just 18 inches beyond the tracks and when combined with the offset boom allows you to pull in close and dig up against walls, buildings and other obstacles. At just 5 feet wide the machine can fit in confined areas. Variable displacement pumps adjust oil flow and pressure to workloads, reducing horsepower demands on the engine and saving fuel costs.
