Compact excavator puts powerful digging force in tight situations

The Link Belt 80 Spin Ace minimum swing radius excavator offers a boom swing of 130 degrees, an operating weight of 18,400 pounds and a tail swing of just 5 feet 4 inches. This gives it the ability to pull in tight against walls and other objects and dig down to 13 feet 9 inches. Maximum dumping height is 14 feet 5 inches. A 52-horsepower Isuzu diesel engine powers the unit, which has 136 foot-pounds of torque. The bucket digging force is rated at 12,790 pounds and standard buckets are available in sizes from 0.24 to 0.45 cubic yards. A long undercarriage enhances stability and the modified X-style car body is integrally welded for strength and durability. The cab rests on fluid mounts and the operator’s seat has adjustments for weight, height and tilt. Heater and air conditioning come standard.
