Volvo Group truck deliveries increase 23 percent

Truck deliveries from Volvo Group’s three truck companies increased 23 percent during the first three months of this year compared to the same period last year. Deliveries from Mack were up 27 percent, while deliveries from Volvo Trucks rose 29 percent and deliveries from Renault Trucks increased 15 percent. During the past 12 months, order bookings for Volvo’s truck operations were up 45 percent compared to the year-earlier period. Orders in North America increased 88 percent, and orders in Europe rose 26 percent. Truck deliveries are not the same as retail sales. Rather, deliveries are trucks in the preceding month that were either transferred to dealer inventories or delivered directly to customers.
