Hammer eliminates blank firing

To prevent blank fires and wear and tear on the tool, the H160D hydraulic hammer from Caterpillar features an auto shut-off function that stops firing when the tool tip loses contact with the material. An easy-access port allows you to check and recharge the accumulator without removing the hammer from the machine. The pressure control valve adjusts with the turn of a screw and full-length wear plates increase guidance and stability. The hammer weighs 6,946 pounds and delivers from 380 to 560 blows per minute with an energy class rating of 8,000 foot-pounds.
