The PC40MR-2 compact excavator from Komatsu has a roomy operator station for easier entry and exit and more room for operating the foot pedals and joysticks. The 5-ton machine cranks out 39.4 horsepower at 2,350 rpm and 18.5 gallons per minute of auxiliary hydraulic flow. For digging height, the machine reaches 18 feet, 3 inches. Dumping height goes to 12 feet, 8 inches. Digging depth is 11 feet, 6 inches. The PC40MR-2 is also compatible with Komatsu’s Road Liner track option, which offers the durability of a steel track with the ground protection of a rubber track in a replaceable shoe configuration.
