Enhancements boost power, productivity of grader

Deere has upgraded its C-Series II 670CH and 672CH motor graders with new engines and fuel systems. The 6.8-liter engines generate 185 horsepower, compared with 155 to 160 horsepower previously. An electronically controlled, high-pressure fuel system more precisely delivers fuel over the entire spectrum of speeds and applications. Added glow plugs at each cylinder enhance cold starting ability. Changes in the sheet metal result in increased air flow over the radiator, hydraulics and transmission. Flat intake screens and a new fan shroud plate make it easier to clean debris from around the cooling system.
