ASV unveils two compact loaders

ASV has launched its two newest compact track loaders, the RC-60 and the RC-85, which is the second largest machine in the company’s lineup. The RC-85 is powered by a Caterpillar 3054C diesel engine. This is a naturally-aspirated engine, rated at 86 horsepower. The unit also features single-drive motors and rated operating capacity of 3,400 pounds (50 percent tipping load). Like all ASV loaders, the RC-85 is designed from the ground up to run on a suspended rubber track undercarriage. According to ASV, torsion axle suspension of the undercarriage helps to maximize contact with the ground for better traction and smoother ride, than rigid-mounted track systems. This, in turn, increases load retention, makes operation more comfortable and increases cycle times throughout a workday. The RC-85’s rubber track contains no steel components for a smooth, quiet ride with less friction. This track measures 18 inches wide and has a ground contact area of 2,610 square inches.
