Big block engines boost power-to-weight ratio

Lightweight aluminum blocks increase the power-to-weight ratio in Briggs & Stratton’s new line of V-twin Big Block air- and liquid-cooled engines. The overhead valve design reduces component wear and better balances the engine for low noise and more durability. The tuned intake and exhaust system and large volume muffler also help keep these engines quiet. Liquid-cooled versions come in 25-, 28-, 29-, 31-, 33- and 35-horsepower models. The air-cooled engines come in 25-, 27-, 29-, 31-, 33- and 35-horsepower models.
