Oil filter crushers make quick, clean work of disposal chore

Many states today strictly regulate the disposal methods for used oil filters. The TC-15 oil filter crusher from TSI uses 38,000 pounds of hydraulic force to crush filters in a 9-by-16-inch chamber. It removes 95 percent of the oil and funnels it into a holding tank that can be removed and added to waste-oil supplies. Or as an option, a pump can deliver the waste oil directly to the main holding container. The company’s larger TC-16 model is sized to crush 5-gallon containers. Both models are electrically powered and can be ordered with 110- or 220-volt motors.
