Under its new owner 3i Group, HSS RentX will quickly expand its presence in key metropolitan markets, the company announced Feb. 19. HSS RentX will open a new Denver branch in March and a Los Angeles area branch in June. Branches in Florida, Colorado and Virginia, where the company still operates, recently closed, along with the Michigan cluster. Last month, a management team backed by 3i Group, a European venture capital company, purchased H SS RentX, the American operation of British-based HSS Service Group, from The Davis Service Group.
