Trimble announced Dec. 4 it has settled a patent infringement lawsuit against Toolz. The suit alleged that Toolz’s laser level products infringe on five of Trimble’s U.S. patents. As part of the settlement, Toolz has entered a nonexclusive license agreement through which it will pay Trimble a lump-sum licensing fee and royalties based on future sales of certain Toolz products.
