New loader’s tracks allow it to go where tires dare not tread

Energized by an 81-horsepower Isuzu diesel engine, Takeuchi’s new TL140 rubber-track loader boasts a hydrostatic drive coupled with planetary final drives that deliver 7,403 pounds of breakout force. It’s 18-inch-wide rubber tracks give this 9,590-pound loader enough flotation to operate on soft ground where rubber-tired machines bog down and also protect turf, asphalt and other sensitive surfaces from divots and damage. A two-speed travel system scoots the TL140 around at either 6.4 mph or 4.5 mph. The TL140 offers one- and two-way hydraulics and a universal quick-attach bracket. The operator station can be covered with a standard canopy or an enclosed cab with heat and air conditioning.
