Caterpillar has sued to block Tuesday’s scheduled release of Disney’s “George of the Jungle 2,” saying the direct-to-DVD movie damages its reputation by tying Caterpillar to an evil army of industrialists. Caterpillar says its name and logo are featured prominently in a battle between George and an army of wheel loaders. The company filed suit against Disney and Buena Vista Entertainment Oct. 14 in the U.S. District Court in Peoria. The lawsuit asks a judge to issue a temporary restraining order to block the release of the movie and seeks an order that Disney destroy all offending material.
