Ditch Witch adds compact hydrostatic trencher

The new 1330 compact hydrostatic trencher features a reversible digging chain for dislodging rocks or spoils caught in the chain. The machine offers a hydraulic digging chain drive, a hydraulic oil cooler that requires less hydraulic fluid and a direct drive (not electric) hydraulic cooling fan. A bronze pivot bushing extends service life. Daily routine servicing has practically been reduced to simply checking the oil and gas.

The new unit is equipped with a 13-gross-horsepower Honda GX390 gasoline engine and can trench to depths of 36 inches, with trench widths to 6 inches. At just 81 inches long by 34 inches wide, the compact size of the 1330 allows it to go through a standard yard gate and work in narrow, confined areas. A variety of digging chain systems are available for trenching in most conditions.

Color-coded operator controls help ease the learning curve for new operators. A wrap-around-style handlebar helps you maneuver the trencher. The 1330’s two-speed ground drive offers dedicated dig and drive speeds. A standard axle lock can engage both drive wheels for straight trenching, or can free one wheel for easy maneuvering around the work area.
