Single-engine, truck-mounted excavator travels up to 50 mph

With its 190-horsepower Detroit Diesel engine, the Gradall XL 3100 hydraulic excavator reaches road speeds up to 50 mph. The telescoping boom rotates 180 degrees and has 16,100 pounds of breakout force, making it useful for digging, grading, demolition and loading applications. It can also be fitted with augers, hammers and other attachments. The boom can reach 27 feet, 5 inches for work on trees and signs or under bridges. Maximum dig depth measures 19 feet, 8 inches. The XL 3100 can be ordered with a four-by-four or four-by-two undercarriage to suit different terrain. Load-sensing hydraulic and joystick boom controls built into the armrest make for quick and efficient operation.
