Bestop offers Wi-Fi-enabled PowerBoard powered running board

Updated Feb 27, 2013

Bestop powerboardBestop has added Wi-Fi component technology to its PowerBoard powered running board, eliminating the need to cut, splice or tap into the OEM wiring harness. Featuring door sensors that affix to each door pillar without drilling and a receiving unit located on the frame beneath the truck, the PowerBoard NX uses a magnetic trip instead of relying on the factory “door open” wire, automatically extending down about 6 inches and out about 2 inches when the doors are opened. When the door is closed, the PowerBoard NX automatically retracts after a 5-second delay. The step itself features a 600-pound capacity per side with a durable matte black powder coating.
