World of Asphalt show to return to Nashville

The directors of the World of Asphalt Show and Conference recently announced the expo will return to Nashville on March 17-19, 2004. While the 2003 show had a 65 percent increase in exhibits from 2001, the expo’s leaders are hoping to increase industry participation in next year’s event.

“The continued support this event has received from the industry has made it the single most comprehensive source in the asphalt industry for customers to make side-by-side product comparisons and buy from the leading companies this year,” said Pete Vlahos, WOAS director.

The World of Asphalt 2003, which featured more than 47,600 square feet of exhibits, was held in conjunction with two industry conferences, and the annual conventions of the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association and the Oklahoma Asphalt Pavement Association. The show also featured live paving demonstrations that showed the advantages of asphalt and how to plan for maximum job efficiency.

WOAS director Dennis Slater hopes more industry meetings, more educational programs and more exhibitors displaying new products and services will strengthen industry participation in the 2004 event.
