The way this crew was going about this whole operation, from the posture of the guy walking behind the trailer to the fact that the guy following behind in the truck filming the whole thing is doing his best to make sure he’s got a clean shot of the action, makes me think everyone involved had a fair amount of doubt as to whether this excavator was ever going to make it through that hairpin turn.
It’s unclear from the angle of this video whether or not any kind of tiedowns were used, but the way that the machine slides off indicates that whatever they did was no match for the incline and tightness of this curve.
