Tobroco-Giant increased power and tipping load on its new G2700 compact articulated wheel loader models.
The loader, which is available in four models, gets a new 50-horsepower Kubota engine, which is 5 more hp than its predecessor, the V452T. It uses a diesel particulate filter and diesel oxidation catalyst to meet Tier 4 Final, as well as the latest European Stage V, emissions standards.
Tipping load ranges from 5,236 to 6,393 pounds, depending on the model. Operating weight is about 5,700 pounds.
The company gave the new loader models automotive steering and hydrostatic all-wheel drive. They feature a hydraulic quick coupler for changing attachments from the operator seat.
The articulated pendulum joint delivers a tight turning radius. It also helps keep all four wheels on the ground in uneven terrain and increases traction, the company says.
Standard equipment includes ROPS/FOPS safety roof and a “luxury suspension seat.” A cab is optional.
The G2700 comes in four models, allowing a choice of axle size and pulling force (HD and HD+) and higher lift capacity (X-Tra).
The X-tra models have a lower front frame for heavy construction and earthmoving work.
The HD models come with 8-metric-ton axles with limited slip; they can travel up to 15 mph. The HD+ models’ axles are 12 metric tons with electrically switchable 100 percent locks. The HD+ models also have 40 percent more pulling force and a top speed of 18.6 mph.
