BrandSafway is acquiring AGF Access Group, headquartered in L’Assomption, Quebec. AGF has two manufacturing sites in Canada and 24 branches across North America and rents, sells and manufactures access products, distributing products through its branches and independent dealers.

The move will enable BrandSafway “to grow our market presence in mast climbing, suspended access solutions, elevators and building maintenance units throughout North America,” says Dave Witsken, president of energy and industrial, BrandSafway. “With a dedicated team of engineers, a strong distribution network, world-class manufacturing and experienced leadership, AGF Access Group will bring great value to BrandSafway.”

AGF Access Group includes four divisions, including two product groups – Hydro Mobile and Winsafe – and two rental units – AGF Access and Hydro Rents. AGF Access recently acquired IEQ, Jamco Construction and Noxxent.

“We look forward to working together to leverage our complementary businesses for growth,” says Vincent Dequoy, president of AGF Group. “AGF will be able to expand its mast climbing and suspended access business throughout North America and provide more services and products to existing customers as well.”

Providing specialized services to the global industrial, commercial and infrastructure markets, BrandSafway delivers access and scaffolding systems, forming and shoring, industrial services and related solutions to more than 30,000 customers worldwide. The company was formed when Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services and Safway Group combined in 2017.

The deal is expected to close in early 2020.
