At the recent Bauma show in Munich, JCB celebrated the production of the 200,000th Loadall, plus introduced the THL 540-140 Hi-Viz Loadall, its fourth Hi-Viz model.
The unit has an 8,500-pound maximum lift capacity with a maximum lift height of 44.2 feet (with stabilizers). In addition, JCB plans to introduce a manlift platform for its telehandlers later this year in North America, which was on display in the JCB stand.
JCB says the THL 540-140 Hi-Viz has the lowest boom mounting in its class, up to 9.25 inches lower than the standard THL 540-140, giving the machine additional visibility to the boom side and rear of the machine.
Visibility is increased further with a 13-percent reduction in the boom section and a more compact rear chassis section, which reduces overhang by 13 inches.
The unit uses JCB’s EcoMAX 74-horsepower diesel that does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or diesel exhaust fluid; in addition, the 108- and 125-horsepower EcoMAX engines can be spec’d for those needing more power; these engines use a “one-can” selective catalytic reduction emissions solution.
