BOMAG’s new BW141AD-5 and BW151AD-5 tandem vibratory rollers, boast increased fuel efficiency and provide high VPM performance on asphalt compaction jobs such as commercial sites, parking lots and highways.

The rollers’ frame design provides clear operator visibility, ensuring all-around views of the roller drums, asphalt mats and surrounding areas. The operator’s platform has a comfortable, spacious working area with an adjustable multi-position seat that rotates and slides laterally to both side positions. Controls are positioned for easy reach, including a travel lever with integrated switches.

A Tier 4-compliant 73.2-horsepower Kubota water-cooled diesel engine powers the rollers, which have 59- and 66-inch working widths, respectively, and deliver up to 17,760 pounds of centrifugal force.

The ECOMODE system conserves fuel by controlling the engine speed in relation to load, with a resulting fuel reduction of up to 30 percent. A crab-steer feature enables offsetting the rear drum up to 6.7 inches in either direction.

The water tank is located below the operator’s station and the engine is located in the rear frame, ensuring maneuverability while reducing noise during operation. The rollers have a pressurized water spray system that includes a second pump and triple filters. For easy accessibility, both models feature a large engine hood that can be opened from either side of the machine.

Standard features include automatic vibration control, speedometer, V-belt protection, halogen working lights, indicator and hazard lights, back-up alarm, master battery disconnect switch and tool compartments. Optional features include a mat temperature display, ROPS cabin with heating or air conditioning, BOMAG telematics, drum edge lighting and an integrated edge cutter for the rear drum.
