Nortrax, Deere & Company’s largest construction and forestry equipment dealer, has sold its Michigan operations to JDE Equipment. Deere says the sale supports part of its initial vision for Nortrax – to acquire and improve troubled dealerships, and then potentially sell them to qualified investors who have the financial and managerial expertise to run them successfully. Deere holds a minority interest in Nortrax, which continues to operate 50 locations in 17 states.
