November was a very good month for tractor and combine sales, according to the latest Flash Report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

Total 2WD farm tractor sales were up 41 percent over November of 2019, and combine sales were up more than 33 percent for the same period. Sales of 4WD tractors were up more than 91 percent over November of 2019.

Year to date, total 2WD tractor sales are up 16.5 percent over the same period a year ago, and total 4WD tractor sales are up 4.7 percent. According to AEM’s numbers, U.S. until retail sales of tractors and combines have outpaced 2019 and the five-year sales average every month since April.

The leader in sales remains the under 40HP sector, which saw a 47.5 percent increase in sales over November of 2019, and is nearly 20 percent above last year’s sales pace. But strength is also being shown in the other 2WD tractor categories, up 28.3 percent in the over 40HP to under 100HP sector and up 24.2 percent in the over 100HP sector.
