Doosan Infracore North America has announced a new fulfillment initiative designed to put custom-ordered machines into U.S. and Canadian customers hands more quickly.

Under the new delivery process, a dedicated Doosan team at the company’s North American customization plant in Savannah, Georgia will oversee equipment final assembly and inspection. Using this process, Doosan machines could arrive four to six weeks after an order is submitted.

Doosan estimates that about 75 percent of the machines it sells in the U.S. and Canada — including crawler and wheeled excavators, compact excavators and wheel loaders — will benefit from the expedited process. Requests for items such as crawler excavator track shoe  changes, cab guarding and counterweights can be fulfilled at the Savannah plant.

In addition, Doosan now has two Doosan-only parts distribution centers, one at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Suwanee, Georgia; and a West Coast facility in Lacey, Washington. The company says the combined 157,000-square-feet of warehouse space allows it to provide faster parts delivery, more inventory and better service options to customers and dealers.

“The proximity of the customization plant in Savannah to our headquarters in Suwanee allows for enhanced collaboration,” says Edward Song, CEO of Doosan Infracore North America. “This collaboration will further heighten our level of service to our Doosan dealers and customers in the United States and Canada.”
