LiuGong says its new 925F CR excavator offers the lifting performance of a conventional excavator in a compact-tailswing package, providing both power and precise control on tight jobsites.
“It’s a very capable machine right out of the gate. We call it ‘dig ready,’" says Jim Joy, LiuGong excavator product manager. “Because the dig forces and lifting forces are right there with the full-tail version, people are really liking how this is performing.”
In the video above, Joy takes us on a complete walkaround tour of the excavator, highlighting its many standard features including:
- 156-horsepower Cummins B6.7 diesel engine
- 1.3-cubic-yard bucket
- Hydraulic quick coupler
- Kawasaki hydraulics
- Updated cab with a heated and ventilated seat, electric-over-hydraulic controls, safety orange seatbelt and advanced monitor
- 360-degree side lighting
- Durable cast-steel boom and stick ends
- Centralized grease points
Buyers can spec the excavator with or without a dozer blade and thumb.

One of the things about this 925 FC are that whole compact radius. We have taken that tail swing down from about four feet to about seven inches. And so it's a huge difference. People really like how you can work in a single lane of traffic. The dig forces and the lifting forces are right there with the full tail version.
00:00:21:16 - 00:00:26:16

People are really liking how this is performing.
00:00:26:19 - 00:00:50:25
Jim Joy
All right. Hi, I'm Jim Joy Liu Gong, excavator product manager, and I'm going to take you around the new Lou Gong. 925 FC are. So the 925 is a 25 ton excavator. It's the new F series. That's our latest. And that means electro hydraulics. It means the latest and like stage five emissions. And then there's inside the cab.
00:00:50:25 - 00:01:13:23
Jim Joy
We've got a new monitor, we've got new features and benefits will go through. And this one is a digger. It can lift, it can dig. It feels great. We'll talk about that. Some of the basic specs of this. We have a 156 horsepower Cummins B 6.7 engine. That's been working fantastically for Lou gone for many years now. And we've got bucket capacities.
00:01:13:27 - 00:01:40:08
Jim Joy
You know, one of the things Lou Gong does we are standard with our buckets. And what comes on this machine would be a 1.3yd³ bucket. It's got a maximum depth of over over 21ft. So another great feature in this one is we've got Kawasaki hydraulics on board. But we also have Lou Gong software that really gets the most out of the Cummins engines and putting it into the hydraulic system.
00:01:40:08 - 00:02:05:29
Jim Joy
This is similar to our 922 the full tail machine. And it's but but the hydraulics are strong enough. We actually added a little bit extra into the boom circuit. And so it will actually lift as much as the full tail version of this. The hydraulics are basically identical to the 922 and every other way. We're showing a hammer here, a hammer, and we've already got the auxiliaries all ready for it.
00:02:06:00 - 00:02:27:17
Jim Joy
If it had a a rotator or a tilt function. We've got those hydraulics already on board. We've got the hydraulics for a quick coupler all ready to go. And we have standard the hydraulic quick coupler as well. And along with that bucket we're set to go and some of these configurations we will have a thumb as well from the factory.
00:02:27:20 - 00:02:50:18
Jim Joy
So and then with that you know, rotating tool like the mulch head, we've got the case drain line that goes back to say all from the factory, all standard, all ready to go. So in our structures there we've got cast steel ends like in the stick nose and where the boom is to come together. We've got Castiel there and also at the boom foot as well.
00:02:50:20 - 00:03:19:07
Jim Joy
What that does is it creates a significant durability. It eases the the factory putting it together. So it's very reliable, very repeatable. Going up front, we've got configurations where we can offer a blade or no blade. Either way some some regions want one or the other. We have centralized grease points on the midpoint of the stick over on the side where you'd access it from on the boom, and then also where the swing is.
00:03:19:13 - 00:03:45:19
Jim Joy
So in the cab we've got a new heated and ventilated seat, we've got the safety seat belt. So it's easy for Foreman to make sure the guys are being safe. We have a advanced monitor, very interactive LCD color, and the benefit in the loo gong is that we have like 360 degree side lighting. And with a big monitor like that, you can easily see what's going on around you, the ground crew or other objects.
00:03:45:26 - 00:04:09:13
Jim Joy
You have the ability to change the screen type 2D or 3D or rotate to get exactly what you need. So here's the Kawasaki joystick controls, and that's where that feather touch hydraulics comes in. The multifunction capability. We've got the the auxiliaries up here on the thumb wheels on both sides. So paired up with the monitor we've got shortcut buttons off on the side.
00:04:09:13 - 00:04:23:19
Jim Joy
So we have a navigation jog dial. Or you can simply press the button and you can get your radio up. You can get the air conditioner up. You can get the Bluetooth going. You can hit lights, wipers, all those sorts of things. Travel fast or slow.
