Nobody needs complications when cutting masonry, and DeWalt’s new 9-inch, 60-volt Max Cut-Off saw uses a hefty 60-volt battery instead of electrical cords or a gasoline engine for cutting into masonry, concrete and rebar.
The cordless saw cuts to a depth of 3-1/4 inches for single pass efficiency in many applications. Like an angle grinder, the dust guard on the new cutoff saw can be rotated around to five different positions to deflect dust away from the worker and help with visibility.
The front handle can be held in three positions and operated in both horizontal and vertical relation to the work. A heavy-load indicator light gives the user power and runtime feedback during hard applications.
An all-metal drive train helps with durability as does a latched battery box and sealed on/off switch. The brushless motor reduces maintenance too. The saw comes with two 9.0 amp/hour batteries for $849, and if you already have the batteries you can purchase the tool by itself for $549.
