A new range of High Performance Lifting (HPL) winches for Potain tower cranes are available from Manitowoc. The winches bring new levels of speed, control and efficiency to the industry. With an innovative design and the latest in frequency-controlled technology, the winches offer optimized energy consumption combined with a greater choice of hoisting speeds.Leavitt Cranes, a division of the Pacific Northwest Company, is the newest Potain crane dealer.
The Washington-based dealer has been tapped by Manitowoc Cranes to sell and support its Potain self-erecting cranes in both its home state and Oregon. Manitowoc says Leavitt will also provide consultation and training.
“Self-erecting cranes offer a lot of benefits that can boost our customers’ efficiency and productivity. They are easy to transport, erect and operate, and they can cover a lot of a job site from their compact footprints,” says Erick Zampini, general manager at Leavitt Cranes. “We are extremely optimistic about their impact in this region.”
Manitowoc says it has seen the popularity of self-erecting cranes grow in North America, particularly for homebuilding, utility work and small construction projects.
