The DeKalb County Commission in northeast Alabama decided today to let the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers handle the county’s debris cleanup. The county says a “conservative estimate” has clean up costs between $4.5 and $5 million.
As quoted in the Fort Payne Times-Journal, County Engineer Ben Luther, said, “They have guys who are waiting to do the work; they just need a task order to begin.”
