Trackless Vehicles says its MT7 articulating tractor is built for “365-day versatility” with more than 30 attachment options tailored toward municipal and landscape tasks, including snowplows, angle sweepers, cold planers, mowers, leaf loaders, stump grinders and more.
In the video above, Kevin Luckhardt, sales representative for Trackless Vehicles, gives us a tour of the Series 7 municipal tractor at Public Works Expo 2025. The display tractor was equipped with the company’s ribbon snowblower, available in widths of 51, 60, 74 or 84 inches, and sander attachments.
A 74-horsepower John Deere 4.5-liter engine powers the MT7, offering high performance and longer engine life than a smaller 2.6- to 3.6-liter engine, the company says. It has a top speed of 19 mph for quick travel between jobsites.
Key features include:
PTO Work Mode: PTO Work Mode allows an operator to set the engine at full rpm to power PTO-driven attachments such as a snowblower or mower. Ground speed is controlled independently with the hydrostatic foot pedal.
Standard Mode: In standard mode, the pedal controls the ground speed and engine rpms simultaneously. It is ideal for plowing, sanding and other operations that do not require PTO power, as well as transporting the tractor to and from jobsites.
Digital Dash with Standard Backup Camera: The 7-inch digital dash displays relevant machine information, including fluid temperatures, speedometer, engine rpm, fuel level, selected gear range, forward/neutral/reverse, turn signals and fault messages. A standard backup camera is viewed on the display.
Climate Control: The climate control system offers full control of floor heat and defrost with fresh air intake. Temperature and fan speed can be set on the digital display. The air is dried in defrost mode to prevent fogging.
External Up/Down Switch: The external up/down switch, positioned on the front of the tractor, lets a single operator pin on attachments. When using the switch, hydraulic cylinders move at a third of the regular speed, providing precise and safe control for aligning the pins.
Reversing Engine Fan: The standard automatic engine fan reverses at factory-set intervals to keep the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler clean from debris.
Ride Control: This option automatically senses ground speed and the load of the attachment to calculate shock load and cancel out tractor bounce.
Onboard Diagnostics: The onboard computer continuously checks and monitors all systems. If a fault is detected, the user can access tractor diagnostics through the digital dash.
WiFi Diagnostics: Complementing the standard onboard diagnostic system is an optional Wi-Fi connected feature, allowing Trackless’ diagnostic team to connect directly into all 11 ECUs, including the engine ECU. After a one-time charge for this upgrade, there are no additional monthly or annual fees.
The MT7 can also be equipped with an optional rear 540 rpm PTO and category 1 three-point hitch to make use of attachments such as a rear three-point hitch flail or rear rotary cutter.
