SDLG continues to move out from underneath Volvo’s shadow in North America by expanding its construction equipment offerings.

This year, the China-based manufacturer has rolled out its first skid steer and compact track loader and two debut UTVs.

The latest launch is a stand-on mini track loader. The new STR1000H was unveiled like the others at ConExpo 2026, about a year after Volvo Construction Equipment sold the company to Lingong, which also owns China-based LGMG aerial lifts.

The moves by SDLG show it seeking to capture a share of the fastest-growing construction equipment markets on the continent.

Stand-on mini loaders, also known as compact utility loaders, have risen to the fourth-highest equipment category for sales in the U.S. — up from fifth last year and now ahead of wheel loaders. At 11,329 new financed units sold between May 2025 and April 2026, their sales rank behind compact track loaders, mini excavators and standard-sized excavators, according to Fusable’s EDA equipment finance data. (Fusable is also the parent company of Equipment World.)

It is less than 3 feet wide for fitting in narrow areas. “Its compact footprint, intuitive controls and strong lifting capabilities make it an ideal solution for contractors seeking maximum productivity without sacrificing maneuverability,” the company says.

The STR1000H is for material handling, site prep, residential and commercial construction, landscaping, property maintenance, and tree and nursery operations, according to SDLG.

Features on the new mini track loader include:

  • Quick-attach coupler for connecting and disconnecting attachments, including mowers, augers, pallet forks and buckets.
  • Ergonomically designed hydraulic pilot joysticks with natural hand-grip curvature.
  • Integrated safety lockout system.
  • Operator presence control system.
  • Anti-stall system.
  • Standard four-section auxiliary valve with hydraulic flow of up to 14.5 gallons per minute.
  • Maintenance access via front upper cover that tilts back and an operator platform that rotates open.

SDLG’s website notes that it has plans to add two more stand-on mini loaders to its lineup, the STR800H and STV1300H. No further details on those models have been released.

SDLG plans to show the STR1000H and its new U113H UTV August 11-13 at the Nursery/Landscape Expo 2026, hosted by the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio.
