Atlas Copco Power Technique is boosting its lineup of generators with upgrades to two models while introducing its largest mobile generator, the QAS 625.
The new generator features a power rating of 500 kilowatts with a 724-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine.
The company also boosted power on its smaller QAS 250 and QAS 330 generators with John Deere diesel engines of 290 and 399 horsepower, respectively.
QAS 625
Atlas Copco designed the new QAS 625 for construction, as well as a variety of other uses, such as mining, disaster recovery and general rental.
The company describes it as compact, light and fuel-efficient. The 700-gallon fuel tank enables 27 hours of continuous operation. Camlocks and a battery charger are standard. Voltage can be quickly changed with the flip of a switch.
The QAS’s new PMS parallel controller with touchscreen allows for parallel linkage of up to 32 generators.
QAS 250, QAS 330
For when a more compact generator is desired along with powerful operation, Atlas Copco has updated its QAS 250 and 330.
The internal 385-gallon fuel tanks for both generators allow for 34 hours of operation at 75 percent load on the QAS 250 and about 26 hours at 75 percent load on the QAS 330, the company says.
The generators feature an emergency stop for safety. A remote-signal start and stop allows connection as a backup unit through a two-wire dry contact connection in the distribution panel. The DeepSea 7310 control module is fully diagnostic and has a 3-inch display.
The generators can also be equipped to connect to 32 generators of any size with an optional parallel controller.
The models come in two configurations: standard dual-axle trailer or an optional skid-mounted unit with forklift pockets.
