The HT1042's adjustable anvil door allows for six different positions for different end product needs. The anvil easily folds out for changing of inserts or counter knives. The unit has a tri-axle 67,500-pound air ride suspension and fifth wheel towing with air brakes and lights.
The HT1042 shredder has a fixed feed hopper with 1-inch A572 GR 50 steel end plates and 3/4-inch-thick A572 GR 50 side plates, with an 87-inch-wide by 135-inch-long opening. The 41- by 118-inch torque rotor has 2 3/8-inch 4140 heat treated hammers, which are welded to a 24-inch-thick wall tube. The rotor tube is covered with 3/8-inch AR400 wear plates.
Morbark's HT1042 slow-speed shredder's discharge system is composed of a hydraulically driven, horizontal 40-inch-wide by 17-foot-10-inch long aggregate belly conveyor.

The Morbark 30/36 track drum chipper measures 31 feet 6 inches in length, 11 feet 6 inches high and 8 feet 4 inches wide. Weighing it at 36,500 pounds gross, the unit has a 7,200-pound tongue weight and 29,300-pound axle weight. Fuel capacity is 200 gallons, and hydraulic oil capacity is 100 gallons. The machine as a 330L Caterpillar undercarriage with 27 1/2-inch double grouser pads.
The 52,100-pound Morbark 40/36 NCL drum chipper measures 37 feet 6 inches long, 12 feet 5 inches high and 8 feet 6 inches wide, with a 300-gallon fuel capacity and 187-gallon hydraulic oil capacity. The straight discharge chute includes a mechanically driven chip accelerator and a hydraulically operated chip deflect. Wireless remote control has a 60-foot tethered remote backup system for chipper operation.
Morbark's 40/36 NCL drum chipper has a sloped infeed system with a 40- by 39-inch infeed opening. The infeed system consists of one 30-inch-diameter top compression feed roll with internal drive, a 14-inch-diameter bottom feed wheel and a 40-inch-wide by 12-foot 6-inch-long live floor equipped with three strands of WDH-120 chain in a staggered configuration.
Features on the 50/48 drum chipper include a weighted feed wheel; halogen light package; knife holders recessed 1/4-inch deeper in drum pockets; self-contained air compressor with twin-cylinder 17-cfm at 175-psi, 11-horsepower Honda engine, 30-gallon air supply tank and air wrench; and a reversing fan.
This Model 50/48 drum chipper is a 2004 model rebuilt by Morbark. The unit features a 760-horsepower Cat 3412ETTA engine with spread bearing 318 clutch, electronic RPM sensor, rear hydraulic stabilizers, 3/8-inch-thick infeed side rails, guards for vertical feed rollers and a fixed discharge chute with end support.

When equipped with 16 knives, Morbark chippers produce micro-chips, of which up to 95 percent will pass through a 1/2-inch grate. In customer testing, an average of 65 percent of the chips produced passed through a 1/4-inch grate.
Morbark's 1300B tub grinder has a 10-foot-diameter at the inside base of the tub, and 57-inch-deep walls constructed of 3/8-inch structural steel plate. The floor is constructed of 1/2-inch-thick T-1 wear-resistant steel, which is supported by 16 roller guides carried on a 1 1/2-inch-diameter shaft. The hydraulic full tilt tub provides easy access to the hammermill. The 31- by 64-inch hammermill system has a heavy duty 20-inch-diameter rotor and 13 1 7/8-inch-thick two-piece laser-cut rotor plates.
The wireless remote control system on the Morbark M20R Beever Forestry controls the feed function, yoke function, rear stabilizers and hydraulic swivel discharge.
M20R Forestry features include a 36-inch-diameter by 33 3/8-inch-wide Advantage 3 six-knife staggered pocket cutting system with removable knife holders, ensuring an increased chipping capacity.A 6-foot feed bed with live chain drive, tilted downward at a 4-degree angle, provides efficient feeding of tree length material.
The Morbark 3200 Wood Hog has a 42-foot transport length, 55 1/2-foot operating length, 12-foot 7-inch height, 8-foot 6-inch width and weighs in at 50,180 pounds gross. The unit has a 540-horsepower Caterpillar C15 Tier 4 Final engine.
Achieve aggressive grinding with Morbark's 3200 Wood Hog, useful for processing a range of clearing debris and yard waste. A drive line protection system protects against damage from contaminants, and the feed system's internal planetary drive has no chains and sprockets for reduced maintenance. The 36-inch by 26-foot 7-inch stacking discharge conveyor has hydraulic fold for transport.
Morbark's 3200 Wood Hog grinder features the Morbark Integrated Control Systems, or MICS, which automatically adjusts feed rates and monitors pressure and feed wheel position to ensure maximum production and engine efficiency.
Additional features on the 6600 Wood Hog include a dust suppression system; magnetized end pulley, for discharge conveyor, with collecting slide tray for metal removal; Saylor-Beall split air compressor with lockable enclosure and 11-horsepower gasoline Honda motor; hydraulically operated debris containment door and remote control with tethered backup system.
The variable speed infeed system on the Morbark 6600 Wood Hog consists of one 36-inch-diameter top compression feed roll with internal drive, and a 17-foot-long by 64-inch-wide live floor equipped with four strands of WDH-120 chain in a staggered configuration. The system also has a 4-foot-7-inch-long hydraulically operated folding infeed extension.

Approximately 300 of Morbark’s dealers and customers from more than a dozen countries descended on Winn, Michigan, last week, to take part in the company’s ninth Demo Days.
In addition to touring Morbark’s facilities and meeting the employees who build and support the equipment, attendees headed out to the company’s proving grounds, where they were able to watch demonstrations of the company’s line of chippers, grinders and shredders. Visitors were also able to try out Morbark’s Boxer line of compact utility loaders.
HT1042 Slow-Speed Shredder
One of the biggest attention-grabbers at the demo site was the HT1042, a slow-speed shredder designed to reduce a variety of waste streams, including construction, demolition and green waste. The 70,547-pound machine has either a Cat, Cummins or John Deere engine delivering between 440 and 600 horsepower.
The 8-foot, 4-inch-wide HT1042 has a transport length and height of 32 feet, 5 inches and 13 feet, respectively, and an operating length and height of 51 feet, 7 inches and 11 feet, 1 inch. The unit’s discharge height is 15 feet. Fluid capacities for the machine are 184 gallons for the fuel tank and 200 gallons of hydraulic oil.
The rotor chamber measures 3 feet, 6 inches, with a 9-foot, 10-inch rotor length, and a 3-foot, 5-inch rotor diameter. The rotor weight is 9,500 pounds, with variable speed from 0 to 40 rpm, and 2.2 million inch-pounds of rotor torque.
The machine’s 17-foot, 10-inch by 40-inch belly conveyor features Dura-lite slides and EP 400/3 smooth belting, and the 25-foot, 6-inch by 48-inch stacking conveyor also has pan support with Dura-lite slides and a three-ply aggregate belt with Chevron cleats.
Morbark also demonstrated their Beever M20R Forestry, 30/36 NCL track whole tree drum chipper, 40/36 NCL whole tree drum chipper, 3200 Wood Hog horizontal grinder, 6600 track Wood Hog horizontal grinder, 1300B tub grinder and a rebuilt 2004 model 50/48 NCL whole tree drum chipper.
