Mahindra to launch diesel pickup in U.S.

While all the weeping and wailing, bailouts and bankruptcies proceed apace in Detroit, the Indian vehicle and tractor manufacturer Mahindra announced plans to introduce a four cylinder diesel pickup truck into the U.S. market. According to reports, it has a 7.5 foot bed, 1.3 ton payload, gets 30 mpg and will be priced 10 to 15 percent less than comparable Japanese models.
