IronPlanet, online auctioneer of used construction equipment, marked a record-breaking first quarter with gross auction sales of $77.6 million – up 135 percent from the 2007 first quarter mark. Additionally, IronPlanet’s web traffic is up 46 percent from the first quarter of 2007. Of all equipment purchases through IronPlanet, shipments to international buyers represented 37 percent in the first quarter of 2008, up 15 percent from the 2007 first quarter mark.
“International buyers continue to make up a larger percentage of our customer base,” says IronPlanet’s senior vice president Jeff Jeter. “IronPlanet is a convenient and trusted way to buy and sell used equipment worldwide.”
