Show management for ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008 and IFPE 2008 released a pre-show report revealing both shows should be record breakers.
Total show registration is 48 percent ahead of 2005 numbers for the same period, and the 2008 attendance could exceed 2005’s attendance of 125,000. Registration for show education is 20 percent higher than 2005, but exhibit space seems to be the real record-setter.
ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008 will be the largest show in North America of any industry this year, and its indoor and outdoor exhibit space is 22 percent ahead of 2005 at 2.293 million net square feet. IFPE 2008 exhibit space is currently 15 percent higher than 2005 with 129,000 net square feet.
Management estimates that 17 billion pounds of equipment and exhibit materials will be present on the show floor during 2008’s shows.
