For construction equipment with rearview blind spots, Preco’s Heavy Duty PreView System uses radar to detect objects to the side or rear. This field-programmable unit can be set up to cover very precise areas where visibility is impaired and can detect stationary or moving objects. The depth of the detection zone can be adjusted from 6 feet to 26 feet with adjustable widths, and multiple detection sensors can be combined to create a custom detection zone. The in-cab display unit has an L.E.D. screen to show the distance to objects and will sound an audible alarm that increases in speed as the object becomes closer.
