Takeuchi is expanding in the Atlanta area for the eighth time in eight years.
The new corporate office and distribution facility will be located in Jackson County, Georgia, part of Northeast Atlanta. Completion is slated for February, which marks Takeuchi’s 27th anniversary in the United States.
Located on 34 acres at Valentine Industrial Park, the 250,000-square-foot facility will provide a 60-percent increase in equipment distribution capacity, 60-percent increase in parts distribution capacity and a new training facility. The property has enough space for an additional 250,000-square-foot building.
“The compact excavator and rubber track loader industry has demonstrated explosive growth over the last five years and we see this trend continuing,” said Clay Eubanks, president of Takeuchi US. Investment in the new facility will allow the company to meet customer needs and plan for future growth of its product lines, he said.
