Caterpillar is increasing production of all its mining equipment in response to “unprecedented” demand, the manufacturer announced Sept. 26 at its annual global mining forum. Caterpillar is working closely with its dealer network to respond to customers’ product needs, said Chris Curfman, president of Cat Global Mining. The company is using 6 Sigma methodology to boost production.
