Wacker Construction Equipment AG, the German parent company of Wacker Corporation, has purchased Weidemann Holding GmbH, a manufacturer of compact front-end loaders. Over the past three years, the company has grown by about 25 percent. It has nearly 300 employees at sites in Diemelsee-Flechtdorf and Gotha. A private-equity fund advised by Munich-based Orlando Management GmbH conducted the acquisition, which is subject to the approval of European antitrust authorities.
